Does anyone have any experience with using Smart Steam Emulator to play multiplayer games
I am trying to play Onward, the multiplayer vive game and in the instructions it tells me this:
Before you start the game, you need to change 2 values on the ini file.
go here: http://vacbanned.com/listing/banned
Copy the steam Community ID of anyone there (just get a SteamID on someone who is vac banned at least so you don't fuck someone's legit account in case these method is detected by the devs)
Paste it on the ManualSteamID Field
Then you change the 'PersonaName' to anything.
You need to put a Manual Steam ID because if you just keep it random and you go inside the game, 2 things can happen:
Your name changes to 'Tester #X' Where X is a random number (might mean that randomed steamID doesn't exist. When it happens in my case, you get stuck on the lobby, when the round starts)
You can play fine (probably mean the tandomed SteamID was valid/exist)
MAY NEED SSE!
I proceed to change the values it tells me to and then when I get to the menu it says that I am online but when I browse through the server list there doesn't appear to be anything there. Is there something I'm missing? or have the devs caught onto people playing the game without buying.
